Recent threads had mention of this so I saved it for you.

It isn't hard to do, and can be retrofitted to existing homes.

Moving this, hold on to your seat. The General forum on the bottom is for topics not relating to heating.

I got a price on materials only for my house, 2600 sq. ft, no heat in the basement. $12-$16,000. ouch. not including labor or the boiler. I think for small houses or new construction it is the best way to go, to retrofit an old house to save money it isn't a viable option.

Ouch is right, did the guy have a wooden leg, eyepatch, earing and a big parrot on his shoulder? That is rediculous, + labor.
