I don't get it, if this is a coal burning forum for coal stoves, so we can be warm in the winters, and use heat appliances for whatever needs we may have
, why are we posting about refrigeration, especially for one that does not work ( by the way, you just need the heating tube and sensor to fix the defrost )

Mind you we have responses of three pages so far, and I don't see any talking about the heat exchangers taking the heat from the refrigerator to mix it with the heat from a coal stove.
Does this fall under the category " Only in America "

Everybody here has a strong opinion about everything, and all are right, in their minds. since we are all talking chill boxes here, just replaced 12 yr. Maytag side x side, with a Samsung french 4 door. used to buy only Maytag, and still have a 25 yr, washer and dryer in one building, my own newer maytags were not very good.. hated to buy foreign, and Samsung was not cheap, but had one of the best consumer satisfaction grades, and nice features.

I picked up a 2500$ LG for 800$, added a 5 year onsite for 150$, using as a spare, discounted cause it had a small tiny ding.
The outlet has hundreds of 50-60% off appliances.
