Now that you brought it up its funny how Bush wasn`t in office long enough but B.O. had been in office a nano second & the recession, unemployment, bank failures, auto industry going under, housing crisis, rising cost of health care & everything else was his fault. Get real & think about it , whats good for one is good for the other. Don`t lay all the blame on any President that believe it or not has limited power without the Senate & Congress that is in the pocket of lobbyist regardless of which party they are in. We have now & have for some time had to most corrupt Government that this country has ever had. But if you choose to ignore facts as facts & continue to believe that everything is one sided then so be it.
Of course, something is going to happen sooner or later. That's a given especially since Obama has chosen to return to the Clinton policy of treating terrorist attacks as a criminal matter instead of an actual attack. It seems you are not alone in failing to accepting we are at war.
Gee, Sam - do you really want to go there? Since you brought it up; I do not find it funny that you would compare Bush's 8 months in office prior to 9/11 when little was accomplished due to a split Congress and White House to 18 months for Obama who is working with complete control of both houses of Congress and the White House. If anything the past 18 months have proven the axiom "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Tell me Sam, when does Obama get to own anything? Does he get to own the failed 8 million dollar stimulus program that was anything but? Does he get to own the bungled situation in the Gulf? Maybe not the original leak but certainly the clean up. Does he get to own the way he shoved the health care down our throats in order to be able to say he did something about health care? Have you noticed that it's all coming apart and is now clear that it will cost much more than the 8 trillion dollars we didn't have to spend in the first place. Come January 1 will he get to own the failure of the Congress - that he controls - to make the Bush Tax Cuts permanent? That's going to reduce everyone's take home pay noticeably. Oh, I forgot you blamed the housing crisis on Bush but that happened because the Clinton administration, through Congress, forced Fannie Mae and Fannie Mac to make unsafe home loans. The bottom line is the Obama Administration is not making decisions which will improve the economy or our standard of living and Congress is playing along. None of this is just my opinion; it can be documented rather easily.
If you really want to go there, I'll play along so start a new thread and I'll meet you there. Lisa
