I need help finding an organization.

This is riverfishers wife. I am looking for Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in the Tamaqua area. I will drive to surrounding towns, but I don't like driving very far. I know this sounds like an odd request, but this move has me stressed out, and the AA meeting list web-site is out of date. I tried to go to one tonight and it was very obvious that there has been no human activity at that scary old church in a very long time. When I tried the door, a dove swooped out from under the awning and glanced my head! I will be sober for 14 years next month so it's not a matter of dire straits, but I am stessed and a meeting would really help. Thanks

Have you tried a search on the internet, & if there is a local hospital most should know especially if they have a mental health dept. Congratulations on your 14 years sober.

Being a good friend of Bills myself,I remember being in Costa Rico & looking for a meeting on the Pacific coast side--real teeny village--& was told that they had sent all THOSE people back to San Jose (the capital) on the Atlantic side I know you'll do better in Tamaqua Congrats---20 yrs last March---Momma has 18----something must be workin here,we haven't killed each other yet

Thank you all very much. I am sorry it took me so long to reply. I couldn't find my way back to this thread (lol). My son found it by accident when doing a google search.
I have been to both the Tamaqua Group and How it Works. I love both meetings. I have made the Tamamqua group my homegroup and will be celebrating my anniversary there this wed. (tomorrow). My hat goes off to all of you who have responded and helped me find a meeting. As well as congrats to those who have found their way to the 12 steps.
