Just curious if anyone is using a Roku player to watch steaming video's? I got one a few weeks ago and it seems to work well for us. There is a lot of free content available. We also have a Netflix subscription that costs $9.53 per month including the tax.

I got two, one in the bed room and one in the living room. I love it. I got rid of HBO and other premium channels saving about 23 dollars a month. I figure no use paying for old movies played over and over again.

We have the Roku and digital economy cable. I see most of the cable service is going up again as of August 1. Ours however is not. I watch the Roku channels more than the cable at this point. May just switch to limited basic cable for $20.00 a month or maybe switch to Dish network.

could i drop hbo and showtime and watch all of their shows on this ruku player? Is the ruku player in high definition? If its not it gonna be a hard sell for me.

What else does this wonerful box do? can i watch any tv show i want? what does the box cost?
