Vermont Casting- Defiant Wood Stove

I have a friend who is interested in selling his wood stove. Does anybody know what a fair price for a Vermont Casting wood stove would be worth? It is the Defiant (sp) model. I'm thinking around $300 but that's just a guess. They have had this stove installed for many years but, it looks like it just needs cleaning and door gaskets.

If it is the old non- catalytic burner they are tanks and put out lots of heat...
Clean it up and do the gaskets $500- $750 in the fall...
Right now there is little interest in a stove purchase and $300-$500 will get it sold...
New stoves are selling in the $2000 range but are catalytic burners...

Capecoaler, thanks for the quick responce. I was talking to the lady that wants to sell the stove when your post came thru so I read it to her and she has found a buyer for it at the price of $300. Everybody is happy.
