Been using that Damprid water absorber as advised in other postings in the Pocono since May,got it at HD, pretty cheap by the bag, change it once a month plus I got one of those small reusable Remington dessicants they use or gun safes, etc. I have a pretty cheap digital humidity thing in there and the humidity lows are 29% to 45% though when it gets that high I change the Damprid and reheat the Remington dessicant by plugging it in the 110V outlet for a day.
The exhaust and bin hole is stuffed with plastic bags. Did not wash inside of stove with baking soda, pipes are also in bocdy of stove, did not wash these aslo,
So far no rust . Stove is in basement though there is a dehumidifier down there.
