Not sure what they mean! What stove do you have?

So do I,I think they mean if you have a power vent. Mine go's into a Class A chimney.

The Coal Trol module has a

Plug to the convecton fan, a plug to the combustion fan,a plug to the stoker motor and a wire to the thermostat. That's it.

your right I have a direct vent neil said to call him when I hook up and he will walk me thru it. even gave me his cell phone to call any time great people to deal with. he was out of town thats why he did not get back to me. gonna start to get warmer so the thermo should get a little break in.do you think that the settings you have would work with my direct vent as well as yours does?

Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: Alaska Cast Consol 3 w/ coaltrol

Post by George » Mon. Apr. 09, 2007 5:20 pm

Hi Wally:
I put the coal-trol on my Alaska kast consloe 3, which is the same as the Channing. I have a direct vent also. Just make sure the power for the coal-trol module run through the fume switch first. That way if the is a problem, the fume switch will shut down the stove. If you have any questions, please let me know. My settings are 2 min and 40 max. Runs great! George :)

My settings are 5 for low fire and 38 for max. This is easy to adjust and these settings will be close or a good starting point for you.
