RFC Trucking in St. Agatha, Maine has some Blaschak left for $280 per ton bagged. Same price as last year.

Pelletier Florest in Ft. Kent, Maine is $275 bagged. No delivery.

These are excellent prices for being so far away from NEPA. :D

Blaschak has not lowered its prices. We got hit with a $5 per ton increase Sept. 1st, and another $5 increase effective Oct. 1st. We are at $323 a ton. about $60 of that is shipping, and then another $10 for warehousing and handling (fork truck service for loading it onto customers truck, and unloading from tractor trailer delivery vehicle).

Your buying 2400lbs of coal on a pallet 60 bags x 40lbs per bag 2400lbs. A ton is 2000lbs ;) bulk at either of their breakers is 175 a ton as of now 22 to 23 Pallets per truck load

Considering there are places in MA charging $330/ton -- an actual ton - for bagged, that price ain't all that bad. And you guys in ME are getting a smokin' deal! 8-) Just shows how much certain dealers down here rip everyone off.

why is there such a range in price . unlike oil and gas where everyone is within pennies . i've done alot of calling around and the price difference is unbelievable . more than 100$ / ton . how do some of these places sell anything ?

I know if I can't get the Blashak for similar prices as reading, etc. I'll go that way. There coal burns good enough for sure. I like the 40lb bags of Blashak but I'll deal with 50lber's if I have to.

What is the Blashak going for up your way, and do you have to travel far to get it?
It's $299 down here for the 40's. Kimmel's at $289 (Dover-Rochester area)

That's a fair price. It's high up here. I get it down south when I am on a business trip with the truck. My son lives in Dover he will be coverting from Pellets. Who is your dealer there?

The guy's name is Henry, he is a VERY straight guy.
He can deliver for reasonable rates, as you can see from his site.
Tries very hard to be accomodating, to keep you as a customer..
He also does pellets, if your son doesn't make the swap this year...
