I once knew a car collector who owned a 1913 Detroit Electric. I think it went about as far on a charge as this ridiculous thing can. The 1913 model had a lot more leg room than this one does. :D

The article says it all, a car we don't want, brought to us by a government we don't like. Looks like another Obama success story in the works. :P

It is a perfect example of industrial policy run amok, of what happens when government picks winners and losers. Without heavy subsidies and government ownership, it never would have been built.
