Lowfog the are men and women dying everyday right now in two wars so that you can say or write what you want so I don't think we are doing nothing at this time or do you want another war with another country or something? I don't want any war, if it was up to me I would be more like the Swiss, stay out of everything and everyone's business.
Because there is no COMPETITION!
And the Federal government WANTS it that way. They use the "Commerce Clause" to force insurance companies to sell car, home, life, and every other insurance across state lines.
But when it comes to health insurance, suddenly they think the states should regulate it individually? Does that make sense to you?
I'd sure like to be able to buy health insurance across state lines. There's a great company in Washington state called "Q-liance". They charge around $100 per MONTH for a family plan. I pay more than that a WEEK!http://www.qliance.com/prospective-pati ... works.html
If it was about "affordability", why would the state of New York shut down a doctor trying to make his services affordable?http://www.vosizneias.com/28392/2009/03 ... ats/print/
New York, NY - The state is trying to shut down a New York City doctor's ambitious plan to treat uninsured patients for around $1,000 a year.
Dr. John Muney offers his patients everything from mammograms to mole removal at his AMG Medical Group clinics, which operate in all five boroughs. ....
His patients agree to pay $79 a month for a year in return for unlimited office visits with a $10 co-pay.
The market WORKS. Why is government standing in the way and demonizing people who can fix the problem? Because it's about CONTROL. It's about covering up their criminal behavior in bankrupting SS and Medicare.
