8-28

PostBy: Duengeon master On: Thu Aug 05, 2010 5:13 pm

There are a few of us talking about going to 8-28 in Washington. I had an idea and Lisa Low fog said that I should start a thread so here it is.
Does anyone want to have a meet and greet at the same time. I have only met a hand full of you and would like to meet more of you. We can find a spot where we can all assemble.

Given the weather in DC in August I'm sure Washington, PA would be a much better choice. However, the decision wasn't ours so we are talking about the "Restoring Honor" Rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC on Aug. 28. So far we have a group of 10 to 12 planning on meeting up there and having a meet and greet on the National Mall. To be more accurate that’s 3 forum members and their families and friends. Come join us if you can. Come be counted among modern day patriots. I’m sure a good time will be had by all.

I’m told there will be Tea Party and 9/12 activities going on around the country that day; if you can’t make it to Washington find one close to your home and go. Now is the time to hold our Congressional Representatives feet to the fire. We can make a difference on NOV. Lisa

Hi guys,

I got this from another forum member. (Thanks, Jonathan) Take a good listen. Do you believe in the American dream? Do you believe your children can grow up to be anything they have the desire and drive to be; free from overwhelming debt? Or do you need to be held by the hand and told what's right for you and the country? My 16 year old son asked me today "what happened to "we the people." I told him we are still here and we will make it known on 8/28/10. Now is the time to stand up and be true to what you believe; make your voices heard. Lisa

The Bourbon party will be there in full force, and we will make a difference.

We don't want to go "back" to the future. We want to go "forward" to the future.

The Amish have stayed the same for many, many decades and thats all well and good. If you noticed they have kept everything the same not a just small part or just the part they felt like keeping, they kept it all the same right down to the button up fly. We can't go back piece meal, can't just pick a couple of things you like and say this is going to be heaven now. If that was the case then we have had 200 years of thinking this through, and we are that stupid we still can't get it right. (And we are the smart ones they say)

We've done the meet and greet before. If you want to do a meet and greet I can start a sticky. I don't have time to to coordinate it.

Knoebels was suggested in the past for next one, it's nice family park. Free parking, free admission and free picnic tables with pavilions. It's pretty ideal especially if you have family that wants to tag along. There's two outstanding wooden roller coasters there one of which is rated top 5 in the world. On certain dates they do have all day passes otherwise it's like carnival and you need to buy tickets for each ride, fairly cheap though even with tickets.

I's suggest one or two people coordinate this, it's gets too complicated otherwise. If someone is interested you're more than welcome to do it. I'd suggest starting a poll to list some dates first to find out when is best time for everyone. ;)

Boy, I wish I could be in two places at one time. I've already decided to be in NYC for the 9/12 rally against the Mosque. We are driving up for the day, doing lunch in China Town, and joining a couple of hundred thousand of like minded individuals before driving back that evening. It should be interesting to say the least.

Like always I encourage everyone to get out and make their voices heard during the countdown to the NOV 2 election. Once again I'll quote Thomas Paine - "These are the times that try men's souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman." Get involved now so your grandchildren can experience the liberty we have taken for granted for too long. Don't wait for the other person to take action, they are waiting for you. Lisa

I am going to the Lincoln Memorial. I am leaving Friday morning, riding the motorcycle & staying at a buddy's house in Chevy Chase, MD. I have my tent and may sleep outside in the yard, have a fire in one of those fire pits and crack some brews.
Sat morning the two of us are riding bicycles to the memorial. I am not sure what to expect. I have never been to a political rally.

Well the big weekend is upon us! The number of projected attendees are floating somewhere between 700,000 and 500,000. Of course the last projection I heard from CNN was 15,000. I think that's the number Metro is going with as they have decided not open the trains early on Saturday or run trains with additional cars in them. Yes, hundreds of thousands of people have been told "to take Metro" because there is no parking and oh, by the way, everyone must wait until 7am to get to an event downtown that starts at 10. Oh and just for fun, Al Sharpton and his gang is having a "MLK Memorial Event" in the same general proximity at the same time. They expect a couple of thousands for that. And then there is the "NEW Black Party" coming to counter protest the Beck Rally. I'm sure all three of that group will make their presence known - unfortunately. A counter protest is all well and good but it should be pointed out that Beck's Rally isn't a protest. It's a mass pep rally for America.

Anyway, it should be a historic moment and I'm looking forward to being there. I will be joined by forum members Cokehead and Dungeon master. If I've missed anyone, I'm sorry. Send me a PM so I can keep an eye out for you. We have been blessed with a weather forecast of temps in the mid-80s and partial sunshine and a light breeze. We will have some pictures posted by the first of the week.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, enjoy breakfast at Freddy's, be safe, Lisa

Al Sharpton is the antithesis of Martin Luther King. M.L.K.was a Republican not a democrat!!!! MLK believed Judge a man by the content of his character not the color of his skin. Why then do democrats always bring up race and are very quick to call us what THEY practice on a daily basis? When my oldest son was very young, he went to kindergarten, on the first day he met a kid named Michael Moneese. He did not like this kid. I asked him why? J.P. replied Michael is not white. I replied; you are not white either. you are 1/2 white and 1/2 Asian. then I explained to J.P. that a great man named Martin Luther King made it possible for me to marry your mama. If not you would not have ever been born. People come in all sizes and shapes and colors. John Paul soon became best friends with Michael. I TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU TO CALL ME A RACIST!!!!
