Water Fill Expansion Tank
can I put the the water to fill the boiler in the bypass line? and can I put the the expansion tank on the bypass line? .... the way by boiler sits now I got about 12 inches to the rafters in my base ment .... its very low pipes are blocking me from all angles to even plumb this thing very tough job.......also the flow at the tee for the bypass is going into the boiler or is it going out of the boi;er? I have a flow control valve and I don't know if I should point it going into the boiler or out?

You can put the fill anyplace -- just be sure to use a back flow preventor and a pressure reducing valve with a fast fill optionJDerck wrote:can I put the the water to fill the boiler in the bypass line?

Again - you can do what ever you want but this is not the best place. See page 32 on the link I provided
