DVC500atlast and I got scolded for buying a pickup load of Hudson. I burned all 1320 lbs. of it with good results. It is harder coal than the southern mines. It has lily white ash, and seems to burn just fine. I would recommend it to you.

Did you get it tested for hardness by using the Hardgrove Grindability Index (HGI) rating if not how do you know it is harder
then the Southern Anthracite fields . FYI the hardest Anthracite on Record using the HGI rating comes from The Old Company / AKA. LC&N and that coal is in the Southern Anthracite field Lansford & Tamaqua Area Lehigh valley area.
All Depends on what vein of coal it is some are harder then others and a lot of the veins are the same veins of coal in the Southern field as the Middle & Northern field and Harder coal is not always better. Just like Low ash coal is not always better then Higher ash coal as far a lighting & burning carriestics.

Hi coal berner.
I've been away for a while.Been building an ebike. What fun buzzing around town at 25 MPH and no noise.
Just got my coal downstairs and didn't think it was enough for this year(3 tons UAE)
How's the Superior coal this year?Got a load 18 months ago that was so-so.
