Thanks Rick, nothing personal taken what do you think I am if I took everything to heart I would be long gone. Kind of cool for this date here but that's better than extremely hot. :)

Monday August 5, 2013 and today we pause to celebrate today for this member:

 No Smoke :band: :rimshot:

(Don't know where he has been lately..... Perhaps he's too busy changing diapers to stop in and visit.)

You share a birthday with Neil Armstrong, Raquel Welch, and Loni Anderson. But sadly on this day we lost Marilyn Monroe.

And also on this day in 1861, President Lincoln imposes the first federal income tax to help pay for the civil war. :taz: :mad3:

Rick

EDIT: Due to Fred's critique, I changed the date from 1961 to what it should be, 1861. Damn smart ass farmers !!!

Geez, has it been another year for Eddie ??

 PoconoEagle :band: :rimshot:

Today was the day that Hawaii was created as another state, the Olds Motor Company was formed
and on this date the Boy Scouts of America awarded their first Eagle Award.

And other famous births on this date were Usain Bolt and Kenny Rogers.

So the big question is ..........can you run or sing ?????

Wow what a day today is in history...............

First off we say  Qball and pine grove coal user :band: :rimshot:

On this very day we remember the eruption of Krakatau, the release of Mary Poppins, the Battle of Cape Hatteras during the Civil War, Michael Vick plead guilty to dog fighting, and George Eyston set the land speed record of 345.49 MPH in his vehicle driven by 2 - 2,000 HP Rolls Royce engines and measuring 35 ft. long and weighing 7 tons.

You 2 also share a birthday with Pee Wee Herman and LBJ.

1 notable death was that of Stevie Ray Vaughn.

And finally on this day in 2005, BO received the democratic party nomination. (Coincidence to Krakatau ??????)
