Randy,

Hope you have a "grate" day ! :D

I'd a baked ya a cake, but for some reason, . . with my family's recipe, . . they always turn out tasting like a file ????

Instead, I'm trying out your bread recipe in honor of your day. Hope it turns out OK. If not, I guess I just made more firebox bricks. :D

Thanks for the B-Day wishes...how did you know it was my B-Day? I never get notified on here when it is someones B-Day.

I always liked the taste of file in a cake, must be my family used the same recipe.

I know you will like the bread, if you like rustic, crusty, breads. The thing I like about it is, it is so easy to make.

Randy

Well, . . the dough is rising. I hope that's a good sign and not just the prelude to a repeat of the movie, "The Blob". With me as cook, things can turn for the worst quickly. :D

This having to wait at least 12 hours before I can put it in the oven is killing me though. We've still got some left over black raspberry and peach jams we canned last fall. I wanna try this bread now ! :D

OK, my mouth is watering already. Come on, please either re-post the recipe or give us a link to the original thread.
