Good morning everyone. I just got back from a redeye flight from LasVegas to JFK,,, I missed the 7:15 flight to Detroit [my commute home flight] so I have to wait for the 0900 flight..

My coffee is vending machine stuff, not the best,, can't wait to get home to some Maxwell House..

Hope everyone has a great Saturday..

I hope my grass looks more like a lawn than a big flat failed Chia Pet experiment.. Maybe it grew more and filled in some this week while I was gone..
I'll know by this afternoon.

Enjoy the wonderfull weather,, the airborn visibility is in excess of 150miles.. nice clean, clear and cool air..

Greg L

Good morning.
Looks like we are in for summer heat again this week, it's supposed to be in the 90's again. With any luck I'll be able to avoid using the A/C, the nights are supposed to be cool.
Have a good weekend.

Wow, normally this thread is usually alot busier than today, probably alot of last hurrah going on with most of the kids starting school this coming week. I went out to my dad's this morning at about 8:45 and we worked on splitting and ranking wood till 3:00 pm. What a day, I am beat. I am thankful he borrowed a log splitter. I hope everyone had a safe and fun day, we had wonderful weather.

I made it on time for once! :flex:

Made another NH run yesterday. Came home with several bottles of liquor & lots of ammo. I noticed the exceptional visibility on the way up. Mt. Manadnock was clear as a bell from quite a distance away -- beautiful view!

Fruit is droppin like crazy in the yard. Filled my cart up with apples & peaches. The apple trees are in overdrive this year! I gotta turn these into booze! :D The blueberries came & went in a flash. Pear trees are loaded too, but not ready quite yet. Gonna be some nice, big ones.

My brother & I did some target practice in the yard with the air rifles. Shot the hell out of "chinese junk hose reel #3". (Damn Home Depot!) From 50', I hit the threaded end of the hose attachment 3 times in a row. :dancing:  Then we teamed up & annihilated a bees nest .... and had to run. That's my excitement for the weekend. Was soooo tempted to aim toward the Jimmy ... but I had to keep reminding myself that it would be the same as shooting at $100 bills.

Looks like I missed a hell of a crowd for the 8/28 rally in D.C.. Nice to see such a large turnout. Hopefully the turnout to the polls this November will be larger, so we can send the clowns packing!

Took a ride today, JC and I had a late lunch here:

I highly recommend it, very good!
On the way out I was listening to the live broadcast of Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally from the National Mall on Sirius Patriot.

Greetings,Carbonites !
After a more than hectic Summer,I have found adequate time to actually relax, grab a coffee, and kick 'em up by the computer for a while ! Feels good to be back. I take it that our proprietor Freddy is still being chased by Bears up North. I'm looking forward to getting back into it here, and hopefully I can find a laptop along with a wireless signal for future hectic Summers ahead. Enjoy the Java, and take care of yourselves......Hambden Bob :notworthy:
