i did leave the stove in the basement . it does a better job keeping the whole house warm . I had 1 8" duct with blower . I took out the blower and went to just strait duct . and added a second . just the natural flow works very well .

Where does the cold air that the H 82 heats come from? The basement floor? If so you can save a significant amount of coal by installing cold air return ducts from the corner rooms of your mail level to the inlet of your distribution fan.
You will be reheating the warm air returned from the upstairs rooms instead of cold air from the basement.

This modification will make a huge difference in heating performance from your Hitzer.
