another coal trol ?

i have 3 therms set up in hte room whee the ct is set up an ct says 76 other therms say 72. rt now my therm is set at 74 and temp is 78 with stove looking like its in full tilt. it takes 30 to 40 mins to slow down the stove.my settings are 4min 28 max.the stove is cap. to heat 2500 sqft.my house is 1800sqft. my settings are 4 min 28 max stove is a channing direct vent. doo i need to fine tune settings to my house see stove is maybe to big for house. not going to get rid of stove love coal 100$ a month to heat to 76 dwn 69 up 2 story home got calll in neil just wondering if anybody had same

Something is not right.

My Coal trol is right next to my Honeywell digital thermostat and they are never more than 1 degree different. I never have more than 1 degree overshoot. My settings are 5Min and 38 Max on a channing III.

Your Min and Max settings should not have anything to do with overshoot. The low setting just keeps the fire from going out and the Max setting keeps hot coals from falling into the ash pan. Thus getting the most BTU's possible from the stove. The Coal trol should see that it is getting near the temp you have set and start slowing the feed rate down.

My Heat loss settings (HLF)are 0. if yours are set higher, this may be the sorce of the problem.

i talked to ct and they said that i have to fine tune my stove because stove is set to heat 2500sqft. andhouse is 1800sqft. like i said min@4 max@28 and i still have a little overshoot.my honeywell says 72 ct says 75 when stove was running on controls of alaska honey well said 74 moma was happy ct say 74 and momma not warm if momma is not happy noboby happy

Wally, are you all set on your thermostat?

seems to be working alright now am within 1 degree of room temp so i will leave it until fall. probaly gonna turn stove off if weather stays the way it is now. really do love this themo. and again thanx for the excellent support you have a great product. would recommend to anyone thanx again
