What lies ahead/Forecast from the only Weatherman I trust.

Joe Bastardi put this video out today. I find it very informative. Better get the stove you really want or need and start thinking about stocking up on the coal. You have a year or two to get ready. This man does his homework and he has the best track record of anybody out there. Plus he is a Pennsylvanian.

I don't mean to poke fun at his data -- This image was the first to come to mind. I Plowed snow for the township, those brutal winters of the mid 70's. We struggled for days sometimes with an old 1941 Walters sno-fighter, pushing snow way back into the ditch and fields. Good times then.

I remember very vividly the blizzard of Feb.1978. Now that was a snow storm.

Great minds think alike, or is it fools rarely differ. Whatever, Bastardi is the only man i trust too and I wish he got more publicity. I don't think he will be welcome at Al Gores house.

Well William, you will make my upcoming winter complete. I'm too lazy to buy a coal mistress but the thought of my Poconos blasting away in the basement (240,000BTU of animal power) and watching your SA youtube videos for entertainment makes the prospect of winter quite palatable. Where are the Glenwood series? Forget NCIS reruns, I need entertaining. I need High In The Poconos Films Inc. to start their fall series.

BTW, I totally agree, I think we have one more year of averagely terrible winters to get ready and then we are for it big time. My overspeced anthracite heating system reflects that. Is the fact that I am looking forward to it a little sick. Snowmobiling, ice fishing, spiced rum and all in a super warm house - ahhhh. OK, OK you don't have to provide the playola piano in the background. My heating system is complete but the longing for a Glenwood Baseheater #6 is irrationally consuming my waking moments. I'm really sick! I am automated but longing for a coal mistress.
