You need to put a leash on him and walk him at lest twice a day he is bored and will not stop chewing up things until
you walk off the extra energy he has putting him out side for a few minutes each day won't cut it needs lots of exercise
to get rid of all that energy every puppy and dog need long walks at lest once a day twice is better

What JC says.
He needs to burn up some of that puppy-energy every day. He will stop chewing, but until then, get him outside for long periods, that way he will sleep more while inside.
Also, buy him a dz rawhide chewy toys. BIG ones. Place them all over the house. We also have a couple beef shin bones for ours. This just reduces the chance he will chew up something of yours, but doesn't gaurranty it.
PLAY-PLAY-PLAY is all that little guy wants right now :D

I agree. It's been a long time since I had a puppy, although he doesn't look like a puppy any more, he is just 10 months old. I've had dogs for years, but most of them were adoptions that were past puppy stage. Thanks for the advice.

I'm gonna give a 'road test' to a 1yr old german shepard starting tomorrow. I've been dog-less for over a year, kinda thinkin it may be time to get another one.

We'll see if we get along.

Hope it works out Greg. Shepards are great dogs. Very smart, loyal and generally easy to train.

Good for you. Once you've had a dog in your life it is tough to go without.

About the same amount of time for the dog to decide if Greg is worth adopting! I'm guessing the dog is going to find a new home.

We will never forget the ones who are now gone, but we open our hearts at the sight of those hopeful eyes and wagging tails.
