...you know, the ones you see outside pet stores every so often. They are usually run by local animal shelters.

That said, meet Marley:

He's 3 1/2 months old, a hound mix. I still miss Havik, but this little (?) dog caught my eye.

I knew what he meant. Wife and I drove past one last night outside the local Tractor Supply. I try not to even look over. We have enough.

He looks like a nice little feller.

John, with a happy face like that, looks like you got yerself a buddy for life :D
How is he on road trips? Bring him on down the next time you come. Our MIKOS is getting used to short car rides up and down the driveway, but he MUST sit in the front seat. He insists on that.

So far, so good. Marley seems very even-tempered. He was in a foster home with other dogs before yesterday, he seems fine with the brood here. He doesn't want to be alone, though. He follows me around.
That brings the count here back up to 2 cats and 4 dogs, :o including 2 shelter dogs, and 2 adopted stray cats. What were we thinking?

Trying to figure out what breed or cross breed closest I came up with is a English foxhound / American foxhound or a
Lemon beagle Looks more like a hound size with a touch of lemon Beagle color

My father would have said "you have round heels" meaning you are a pushover. You make up for all those who treat animals in an irresponsible way. Thank you for your compassion.
