I am converting to pellets !!

Just can't take it any more and decided that pellets are the way to go !






I just cant stand foreign oil so the propane grill is no longer to be used . At the dealer open house I couldn't resist I purchased a Traeger Jr pellet grill w apple flavored food grade pellets .

I'm glad we don't have any of those dealers around here, I'd be hooked up with one too. Congratulations and enjoy the smoking.

I think a coal grill which burns rice would be neat. Maybe burn 5 lbs of rice to cook a meal?

That would be neat but you can't beat the smoked flavor of wood . I just made some nice steaks wow were they good .

Just checking out those Trager grills, can you get some type of food grade pellet locally? There is a website called amazing ribs, lots of good reading.

If you go to there website there are quite a few dealers around the area , Also search food grade wood pellets ,a lot shows up .

Went to the Farm Science Review here in Ohio and they had a dealer for http://www.greenmountaingrills.com/index.html there. Nice grills but the smallest one they had was priced over $800 , but they were giving you 5 bags of pellets with it.

I must admit that your thread title caused me to do a double take!

How is that new grill working out now? I checked them out online, intriguing, and lots of pellets for it came up in the search, too.

Right now our 500 gal. propane tank is hooked to the BBQ -- that's what we use our propane for nowadays, but I'd like to not use propane for anything anymore!

I like it so far , you do have to be patient now that the weather is cold it does seem to take a lot longer for a large steak to get done . But the flavor is great.

It was till I just found out it was made in China,Damn it!!! . I thought they were still made here ,sounds like these could be a new line for us . Made here in the USA of coarse.
