After living with us in "nursing home mode" for 2 1/2 years, the Good Lord called Marty's Mom to be with him. She died at 7:33 this morning. Marty was holding her hand when she passed. It's going to be strange around here without a parent to care for. First my Mom, then Marty's. It's been darn near 10 years since we lived here just the two of us.

Freddy,

Sorry to hear of your loss. At least your mom was there to greet her when she went home......

Very sorry for your family's loss. I am sure the care you provided was greatly appreciated. It is so much better for the person to be cared for in a home setting rather than a nursing home setting. Blessings to you and your wife for making the sacrifice and commitment to a family member.

Fred & Marty....Words are hard, but well meant from our Home to Yours at a time like this. This is one of the Toughest Jobs we have. Believe that everything you did made her journey to this point just a little softer. God's got her taken care of now. He's got the both of you covered too.......Peace and Love to the both of you and your Entire Family. :(

Words mean so little at times like this. May God bless you and give you the peace and knowledge to know she is with him. I'm glad to hear that Marty was with her at her passing and I know family and friends who have gone before were there to welcome her home. May peace be with you and Marty. Lisa

Our deepest sympathy to you and your wife. It takes very special people to take care of ailing parents.
