I burn Nut All of Them above are wet breakers Except UAE which is a dry one With a wet breaker you should not get alot or Any fines There wash the coal 3 to 4 Time before They load you and during loading Some do a better Job Then others UAE Will have The most fines do to it being Dry coal sitting in bins They use a Frontend loader or a bobcat skidloader to load you The wet Breakers will be a Chute Or Conveyor Belt or Hopper Chute
As my login name notes you got to excuse my ignorance or lack of knowledge. if I were to bring a end dump down & wanted to pick up 20- 25 tons of a good quality nut where would you recommend? how much would I save with that large amount or would it be the same $?
what I am trying to do is have a supply of coal for 4- 5 years while making one trip. I have plenty of room and the equipment to move it to the coal bin in the house when I get back to Pine Bush NY where I live. am I barking up the wrong tree?

I wouldn't exactly say Barking Up The Wrong Tree coal berner knows the region the breakers and the prices prolly best of all of us, he isn't a salesman or a broker all the work he puts into it is more a passion for the industry and desire to help others, if you are interested in making a run like you talk about he would be an instrumental part of helping coordinate it and best of all he sounds like a fun guy to hang out with .

PM him, he gives ya his number

thanks for the reply- I am the same way . I don't know if it is a passion or a quest. I have the equipment to move the coal for myself so why shouldn't I ?
all I need is coordination-

The coal from Blaschak seems to be burning hotter and less rock after watching it for the past 3 days. I have a thermometer about 5' in front of the blower unit, and it has been burning about 10 degrees hotter with the Blaschak coal on a lower setting. Tonight I'll check the ashes and see how it compares to the Reading stuff.

Lots of good information on this site - thanks!

Has anyone bought coal lately from hudson anthracite? It looks to be the closest drive from Albany, New York. When I called the secretary told me it was kind of hit or miss whether they would have coal and there was no ryhme or reason to it. Is there any other places to buy coal in the scranton wilkes barre area? thanks

I found someone that would deliver to Rhineebck and surrounding areas if it was worth it for him. I am looking to get 3 -4 tons he can hold about 8. Looking for him to run in May or June. Don't know how far you are. But he said he def will beat the prices in the hudson valley now and then:)
