The little tab in the back of the fire box that hold the center two fire bricks is pretty much missing on my stove.

The clamp in the front appears to be just cold rolled steel. Can anyone confirm?

I'm thinking of just welding a new piece back there while I have my bricks out to fix a few cracks.

It's just flat stock.. easily welded.

I have had to replace the piece in front once. Burned out. It was quite inexpensive, from the dealer.
