This forum will be replaced soon by newer version, I don't see any spellcheck feature or modification at the moment. The only one that was available for this version was through a third party that used a very obtrusive ad system if you wanted to use i so i never implemented it.

Anyhow there are other alternatives, I use the Google toolbar which has a built in spellchecker. If you don't want to install a toolbar, IEspell works very well which is an add-on for Internet Explorer: http://www.iespell.com/

If you're using another browser like FireFox there's other alternatives.

Firefox 2.0 and higher automatically underlines mistyped words as you type, just like Word.

I compose my forum messages in my e-mail or word processor program. Both have built in spell checkers. Then just "select all", "copy" and "paste" into the formum message window.

Some useful keyboard shortcuts that work on most MS Windows applications are: "ctrl A" to select all, "ctrl C" to copy and "ctrl V" to paste. Makes it quick and easy to do. Also "alt tab" to cycle between running applications.

My spelling isn't bad but unfortunately I never learned to type properly so I don't see the mistakes I make. Spellcheck is great for me.

I'm a self taught touch typist. It's a skill I needed to learn when I started to do write computer programs. Two finger hunt and peck just wouldn't cut it. Put "typing tutor" into any search engine and you will get many, many links to programs that teach you how to type. Many are free, with no strings attached. They tell you proper hand and finger placement and start you out using only one finger on each hand. You practice typing letters that can be reached only by those two fingers. Then you add additional fingers until you know the entire keyboard. Most have some kind of game aspect to it. Usually a word appears and you have to type it correctly before it blows you up or falls off the screen. Kind of fun. A much better use of time than playing the Solitare. The one I now suggest to grade school kids is at: http://www.typefastertypingtutor.com/index.html

I've noticed that the one in firefox doesn't work as well as the one on the Google toolbar.
