PostBy: samhill On: Tue Nov 02, 2010 8:59 am

Benn there, done that! It appears that we are having a massive turnout in VA; very few parking spaces available in a normally empty parking lot. I'll let you know after the polls close this evening. Lisa

It is always a good feeling to vote. I voted, then encountered an extremely incompetant checkout person at Home Depot, unloaded some concrete at the jobsite; gotta go keep on keepin on.....

I voted early. Seemed like a pretty good turnout for our small community. People coming and going in a steady flow while I was there. Let's hope it continues all over the country until the polls close.

I went around 11 to beat the lunch crowd. It was busier than I thought it would be, a couple of the polling place volunteers said it has been a good turnout so far. Even though it is a mid term election, there are a couple hotly contested local races and issues that seem to have a lot of people interested this year. I voted my usual split ballot, IMO there are too many incompetents on both sides to vote a straight party ballot.
I also don't think anyone should serve more than two terms so I always vote against the incumbent if this is their third trip to the public trough. Let them get a real job and contribute to the economy for a change rather than living off my dime, maybe they will learn something useful in the process.

Turnout was around 50% here, heavy for a mid-term election. I went around 7:35 this evening. Of the approximately 700 registered voters in the district I was voter #343.

My wife went real early this morning & I went around 1PM. At that point there were 730 or so votes cast in my town, which is alot considering most people were at work.

After this go around, I'm pretty much convinced that voting in MA is pointless for us Republicans. Against all logic, incumbents continually get re-elected decade after decade after decade. The Government has some good *censored* in the water here I guess!

I know it's just the Primary but it's still a right that we should take advantage off. Other wise us Libs are gonna have our way again & just like now you really won't have anything to itch about.
