My Power Vent arrived today. Unfortunately I've had no time to look over it thoroughly. Two holes with caulk caught my eye though.

They are both on the pipe that will be going thru the wall. One was just a hole leading into the inner pipe, while the other one was marked for adjustment, however, I am not able to see any screw inside the hole to adjust. I'm sure I'll know what they are for and why they would be caulked as I get into the dvd/manuals. Just curious if anyone knows why the caulk is needed. By the way, in the pics the caulk has been removed.

Thanks...

You shouldn't remove ANYTHING before you find out what the caulk is for. My guess, those holes are pre made for controls that are not needed for your stove. Therefore the caulk.

Just talked to Dave and you were correct Poconoman in that the holes were not needed. As for not removing the caulk....? I'm an electrical engineer and unfortunately (OR fortunately...?) my mind is ALWAYS looking for answers. LOL! I easily removed the caulk to see what was in the holes and will recaulk it before I move forward with the install. :)
