You could just run the furnace fan...
No need for extra fans...
There are thermostats that can do a timed fan only function...
then just put an extra intake by the coal stove...
and the heating problem is solved...
No need to over engineer the solution...

I'm messing around right now with my return air vent on my furnace in the basement trying to circulate the heat from my stove which is in the living room.

Last year I purchased two 6" duct fans from home depot, and placed them in line. I have been experimenting a little on how to better move the air around from the basement. They are a little noisier than I hoped for, but not terrible. They do move the air, but not at the velocity to make a real difference in air temp. in a short time. Hope this helps.
