Will try to call this evening, I'm at work during the day. However, I'm trying to get things squared away before surgery on Wednesday for a torn rotator cuff. After that, I won't be able to use my right arm for anything..............

Just finished up my therapy from Rotator Cuff surgery on May 11th. I do auto body work so it definitely crimped my style for a while.

Be prepared to be frustrated at not being able to use the arm. :bang: :taz: I had my arm in the sling for 7 weeks 24/7. I hope you have a comfortable lounge chair to sleep in. Trying to sleep with the sling on is really tough. Drugs the first week made it bearable though. Listen to the docs. Any other questions feel free to ask.

Rick, in a sling for 7 weeks???!!!! OMG - they told me it would be 3 weeks. I've been practicing doing things with the left hand, including driving the curvy mountain roads left handed. Luckily I am ambidextrous and will just need hubby to cut my food, LOL! I was told about sleeping in a lounge chair, I have a choice of 4, so that's good. I've heard that the physical therapy was painful -- a friend said it made her cry from the pain -- but then again she had a lot of work done during the surgery because a year had passed since she tore the cuff. Maybe that's why... I hope! Good thing for the drugs, eh? Did you find the PT very painful? The worst thing is that I'll be out of work while the arm is in the sling -- losing 3 weeks pay -- so that's definitely not good, but since I'll be out of work, we plan on driving to Florida to visit family for Thanksgiving week, so that's a plus -- being out of the cold Poconos for 10 days actually! :D

Well, the surgery is tomorrow, and I've got the butterflies in the stomach thing going on. I'll have to type one-handed if I can, or else I'll not be on the forum for weeks!
