Can we use a vacuum gauge, or a pressure gauge?

Nope, the differential you are dealing with is infinitesimal amount and it requires a manometer or draft gauge.

if your vacuum gauge reads down to 1" of water or less, then that might work.

Am I reading it incorrectly or is it 0 -1 bar? Which if I remember my conversion correctly is something like 14.5 psi which is about 400 in.H2O. That may be a little hard to see the draft measurement on.

Yes that gauge reads 0-1 Bar which is definitely not even useable for draft applications. 1 Bar is 401.5" of H20. You need a guage that ranges 0-.25" of H20. The dwyer mark II mentioned earlier in this post or a dwyer magnahelic in the 0-.25 range will work as well.

I have a new in the box (with oil) some do not include the oil, Dwyer model 25 I will sell for 25 dollars. I bought it on ebay just before I got bought my hyfire. Dave at LL sent me a Dwyer 460 air meter so I hooked that up instead of the model 25.zip code 18070

0-1 BAR is way too high. The guage will never move.

This is what a lot of the service people use, pricey. (You might find these on Craigslist, Ebay or yard sales)

This one would work too

The Ebay seller was nice enough to refund my money. Lesson learned, I guess I'm a little anxious. Who isn't? I got a new toy to play with!

I just wanted to share this with you guys. My Boss lent me a Bacharach draft rite gauge with a needle dial. I believe they go for around $150
But I still went for the Dwyer 460, it's nice looking and cheap :)
