I really miss the dancing blue ladies. Don't tell my wife about them, ok?

That's why you need multiple coal burning appliances, one of which should be a hand-fired.

Just use the excuse "But what if the electricity goes out for a long time? We've gotta be prepared!"

After all, ya don't want those puppies to get too cold. Just think of the Dogs.

Does this mean that even with all of those stokers you haven't started shaving yours yet?

Nope! Not gonna either. If anyone else does have the need to shave their legs, I'm OK with it, just Don't tell me!!!!

I am cleaning my 520 tonight, so I shut it down at noontime, AND fired up the Glenwood #16 with some Blashak Nut.

I did get a Yellow-Flame Hot air unit, 150K from a traveling gypsy tonight........I'll get it fired in the AM, and return to other more important projects. I think the guys who built these beasts went on to build the M-60 tanks!!!! :) :!:
I still burn in hand-feds when I can, and enjoy the warmth over twelve hrs or more....

Hey, that Glenwood doesn't show up on your equipment roster AND you don't shave. Maybe you're really a Manly Man just pretending to be a Girlie Man? :o :D

I think I might have seen that Yellow Flame - does it look barely used, and come from a large iron deposit in NY?

Sigh,......me too. If anyone comes across a used Hitzer fireplace insert, please let me know! I decided on a stoker boiler because the estrogen rich, carbon based, bipedal lifeform I cohbitat with might break a nail on the few occasions she might have to tend a hand fired stove. When I owned a hand fired stove previously, I greatly enjoyed sitting across the room from the stove and then aiming the IR thermostat at it for a quick reading and then making the cat and dog chase the laser dot around the room. I still make them chase it,......but it's not the same! Lol!

Ahh, the joys of a "trophy" wife are but fleeting. After the initial allure has gone it really comes down to can they handle a coal fire and scrub floors. I don't see those on eharmony dot coms 29 points of compatibility but they need to be added. Shortcomings in other areas can be fixed with a light switch.

Thank you for that simple bit of Victoriana brought to me by incredibly complex electronics. You Victorian guys are pretty slick with the latest gadgets as well as the old stuff. Well done.
