I just got my super mag last year and have been ordering rice from Mengle for 180 a ton oiled and delivered. I’m ready to order my third load next month. I have been reading all of these posts about different quality’s, BTU outputs, ETC. I’m wondering if anyone else is getting their coal from Mengle and if this is the best I can get for my $. I’m not even sure what kind it is, I read someplace that it is blashck or something like that but I’m not sure and its the only coal I have burned so I have nothing to compare it to. It seems to burn fine and I have only found 2 or 3 twigs in 8 tons that I have purchased, nothing else. The ash seems to burn down to a mix of fine ash and some granola looking pieces and a few un burnt pieces here and there but very little. Comments would be greatly appreciated. Im heating about 3000 SQF and I burned about 6 tons last winter at a confortable 72F through out the house.

We're placing our first order with them this week. I've been chatting back and forth with them via phone and email. Today they showed up to walk the property to see if there's a way they can deliver it straight to our bin or if it'll have to be dropped on the driveway. This is before I've even committed to an order! So far I'm pretty impressed with their level of customer service.

yes, I agree they have been very helpfull, and the drivers do all of the work and come with a helper, I always give them a 20 for lunch, it takes them a little while and they actually climb in my coal bin and spread it around etc, no work for me. Im very pleased with the price as well, I have been reading about alot of other companys around here charging 220 + per ton delivered, I don't know if it makes a difference but I always order 4 tons and get it at 180 a ton oiled, I think its a great price and they give excellent service. I have nothing to compare it to but the price because I have never ordred coal from anyone else, I got there buisness card from the place I purchased my stove, S&T Coombe on 940 in Blakeslee.
