the "internet only" connection, no tv or nuthin, here just went up to $59 bucks a month!!!! wth??

so yesterday when it crashed, part of my call to them was %&&*&^^ price?

he said, well sir , if you added the cable tv plus package, the price dropps to 36 bucks! wutz sup wit dat??

I *think* this issue has been resolved, let me know if you still experience slow page loads.

Doesn't look good, Just took 20 seconds to get the "Reply" window opened for this thread.

I was having trouble around 10:00 am alaska time zone.

That's what it costs me for cable internet, $36.00. I switched when it became available here. I was paying the same amount for DSL which was slower. It is "bundled" with cable TV. Now telephone service is also available, but I probably won't switch because it's digital and my rotary phones won't work on it.

You can use standard phone at least for the service from Comcast. The modem has a regular phone jack on it, the modem also comes with a battery in case of power failure. Comcast tech said it will last for 8 hours. If you had a laptop with battery you'd even be able to still use the internet.

I haven't actually tried using rotary phone but I have one here and I'll try it tomorrow, I really don't see why it wouldn't work. The main phone we have is push button with all the electronic gizmos but it has it's own battery power in case of power failure. We had a power failure and the phone still worked is all I know.

I haven't been around since this afternoon but it seemed fine then, seems fine now.

Anybody still experiencing this problem?

The site seems much more responsive today than it did the last couple days. Slow or fast, it is a great resource and I enjoy reading the posts and talking with other members.
