Church's anthracite does fine, but I still like the Blaschak that I have used. But for the price, what the heck! How's the weather over there?lsayre wrote:Any updates on the performance of the Church's anthracite?Paisan wrote: I'm burning it now. It has alot of small stuff mixed with the nut, pea size or smaller. So it's doing good in this warm weather. I have the DS turned down low. Around 200-250.

It's terrible! I needed to be at work by 6:30 AM today, and I left my house at 5:15 AM. I just made it with a few minutes to spare. My normal drive time is about 40 minutes. And I actually got to work before the really bad stuff started coming down.

I stopped in at Coalway today and talked with Andy. He is currently selling bulk Blaschak at $245 a ton plus $90 to deliver it within my area. Bagged Blaschak at $290 a ton plus delivery. A very nice guy. Quite interesting to talk to and very knowledgeable about coal. I told him about U.A.E. Harmony, and I gave him the Harmony mine phone number. He was surprised to hear that the forum consensus seems to be that Harmony is better than Blaschak. He thought he was selling the best there is. He is now interested in contacting Harmony.

Bob Bosler delivered to me with a scissor lift truck. I believe he mentioned that he has two of them. It all went quickly and smoothly. Highly recommended.

Hi all,FYI old thread but I have to add to the list.I went to Warner Bros in Orwell to see the yard and picked up some Centralia nut(not sure what breaker it's from but has a lot of white ash but it burns ok)I still have 4 tons of UAE but I felt like getting something from him. I got loaded and we talked for sometime he told me he wanted to stock 3 different brands of nut he only carries 2 right now so I turned him on to this website for some good info.I just received a letter in the mail that he is now carrying Lehigh Anthracite nut so with all the good things I have heard on Lehigh I am going to get 1000# tomorrow to see how it does.He has Mammoth stove, nut, pea, and rice in bulk,Centralia nut,and pea(I think),Lehigh nut,and one size of bit.Real nice people to deal with and would not hesitate to buy from them again.Take care

Give me two days and I will tell you,I put 15# in two hrs ago but it takes about two days(maybe longer with the 50's and 60's)to start to get the ash from new coal.

Hi all and here is the Lehigh update,so far the coal seems good,BTU's seem somewhat high but It's loaded with fines, and under size pieces as you will see from the pics.
and the ash content is around 10.5% lower then most of the coal I have tried(but I'm still a newbie ) I got 4.5LBS of ash to 42LBS of coal.
I would buy it again I just wish it was cleaner,I must be spoiled burning Harmony because nothing seems to compare Keepaeyeonit
