Has it Gone to Far? Junk-Touching

PostBy: Poconoeagle On: Mon Nov 22, 2010 9:42 am

I believe this whole issue is a direct result of "media-Mania" of the underwear bomb. Just how much money has that caused the world?

I feel the body scan and pat down is crazy. I feel they should profile the "species" of history proven terrorists for such scanning.

at leats limit it to international flights. Where did the money for this effort come from? :|

The problem that I see is that there are good & not so good in every profession, these two in this case should be disaplined & the TSA should train the screeners better. In our country if you start profiling then the airwaves will be full of lawyers ads who will sue on your behalf. I don`t see anything wrong with the body scans, looking at them would get old real fast. There are home grown terriorist that don`t fit a certain profile, all it will take is one plane explosion that was because of a non-patdown. The TSA is in a no win situration because of the laws of the land, even now that everyone knows they have to go thru a check point they still try & take items not allowed.

Ya know....they just don't think right.....seems to me if they had sexy babes patting down the men & muscle bound hunks patting down the women, there would be way less whining.

That would cause a whole other bushel of problems....

People who don't even have a need to be at the airport stopping by to go through security

People intentionally hiding items in questionable places hoping for a more intense search

People going through the security pat down line two and three times (and 4, 5, 6 times)

People trying to give the "pat downers" dollar bills

Rampant housing development near airports as people move to be closer to the security checkpoints

:) :)

You all aren`t thinking about to down side of the job, you have to wear those rubber gloves for a reason & would you like to pick up the folds & check the crease of some of those that make the plane heavy on one side?

This whole situation could be remedied by just putting aside the PC bulls**t and PROFILING people.

How many blonde, blue eyed terrorists have there been, historically?

The problem I see is that we are always trying to screen for the LAST threat.

Don't we have anyone in our multi trillion dollar government that is at least as smart as a terrorist and maybe come up with the NEXT threat?

All the surveillance. All the wiretaps. All the "black" stuff we do, and it always seems like we react instead of ACT.

Ok, so there have been some blue eye blond terrorists - How many of them have tried to blow up airplanes recently? I say we need to remember that not all Muslims are terrorist but that recently all terrorists have been Muslims from Middle East or African ancestry; even those home grown ones caught in the US. We need to start the same type of profiling that the Israels do and stop wasting our resources on 6 year old boys and 90 year old grandparents. The Israelis have it down to where they can determine the bad guys with a couple of questions and the behavior of the individual. That is serious security not the BS we are being subjected to under this Administration. Lisa

Yes but look at the size of Israel & the few number of airports & flights. And this administration is not the one that ordered & develored the scanners. And if you were going to try & sneak something on board why not on one of your kids or your grandparent, these people don`t have respect for anything or anyone, they don`t think like us. Don`t forget Ali & a good percentage of the NBA & NFL are muslims, they are everywhere I bet you can find quite a few in every hospital in the country there is even a prayer room inside the Pentagon for the muslim workers. And try to get a slurppy at a 7-11 that doesn`t have a muslim owner or worker they are everywhere I tell you just think about it for awhile, grab a taxi, they are everywhere.

well, I dont take taxi's
I dont go to 7-11
I could care less about any mosque's

the reaction statement is indeed valid. History is indeed the best teacher

John J Pershing did it right....shot 49 of the 50 let the one go to warn the others.

to be honest I would bet most everyone, in the privacy of thier own home and to thier own families...Profiles anyway!!

Ok ... so there were 2 blonde-haired terrorists. My bad. Still haven't seen any board a plane with a bomb in their shoe as of late, which is the topic of the discussion.

Like Lisa said: not all muslims are terrorists, but MOST terrorists are muslim. Only makes sense to profile muslims boarding a plane.

Would it have made sense to profile Mexicans on December 8th, 1941? Essentially, that is exactly what we are doing in the airports today. We are not at war with Germany, Sweden, Russia, Great Britian, Spain, etc. As of right now, we are at war with muslim radicals. This administration needs to take charge & find some common sense. That's the ONLY solution.
