Here in good ole Schuylkill Co. (NEPA), I have burned about a cord of wood, sick of burning wood, adding wood every 4 to 5 hours. Supposed to be cold tomorrow, hopefully get the dancing blue ladies out finally....

This is a bipolar time of year for me. Love the weather, hate running the stove so low that the HW coils don't do much. At this point let's just get it over with and HAVE SOME 10° NIGHTS DAMMIT!!

Told you it was bipolar .... :D :D :D

I too wish it would get in the low 20*s to teens but at the same time I'm afraid that if it does my Chubby won't be able to keep up.

Jee whiz, I sure wish the weather would get a clue. This is DEC 1 it's suppose to be cold outside! Yesterday we hit 65* and on top of it we had rain; expecting more of the same for today. This is hottest out that I have ever successfully run the Mark II. Last night the Baro registered a .005 and I could not get the Blue Ladies to dance to save my life. The ashpan did reflect a good coal bed but I went to bed thinking I'd lost my membership in the one match club. :( Got up to find red sparkles winking throughout the coal and in no time the Blue Ladies were dancing away. I have the baro blocked off with foil so the entire draft is coming from under the fire and I added nut coal so I'd have more air flow through the coal bed. The air intake value is at a little less then 1/2 turn.

All is right in my little corner of the world. I hope everything is going well with everyone throughout the forum. Take care and stay warm. Lisa

It's 0618 on Wednesday morning and it's 58* outside. My house is 77* already, I wish it'd make up its mind. It either wants to be Fall/Winter or it wants to be Spring/Summer pick a season already.

Last three days with the stove on low our first floor is 80* with a window open for two of the days. The outside temperatures have gone from 47, 37, to right now where it's 43* with a high of 50* due today with some rain. I just don't turn her off because I don't want to have to deal with emptying the stove and then restarting it.

We got near 60* yesterday, nothing but rain & wind most of the day then the Erie weather last night said the snow was going to be east & north of there. Needless to say this morning we have a little more than an inch or snow & the low 30s, another fine report, we did however get to keep the wind so we`ll be sending it off to New York for your enjoyment shortly.

49° here, but looks to be on a sharp upswing. Wind is kicking up too -- looks like it's MA's turn to get hit with the front.

72° in the house now, so I'll be cranking the spin draft to probably 1.5 turns ... vs. the 3 turns I had it set at several days ago. Big difference there! While our chimney doesn't pull all that well above 40°, it's consistent ... so it pulls the same at 68° outdoor temps as it does at 40°. This house never gets warm enough to warrant the opening of windowstats, so keeping it lit will just keep the oil burner from kicking on -- and that's a good thing.

Let the stove go out over night. Good time to replace the door gaskets that I only got to repair a few months ago. I could tell when the draft was up, the door would whistle  If I can get to it before tonight, I hope to install the Dwyer 460 behind the stove.

Edit: 59* here now and itis still 69 on the cold side of the house. Rest will dear oil burner, your time will come ;)
