A question for Coal Berner

PostBy: smokeyCityTeacher On: Thu Nov 25, 2010 10:29 pm

I posted it in the open since others might be interested in the answer.

My UAE coal burns great but the ash is salmon colored. Does this mean high iron content?

If so, what does iron in the coal mean? Is is good/bad/anything?

thanks

What is the ash % coming out of UAE now? Im getting great BTU but no clickers or fusing.

Does this mean we are in the 5-10 % good zone ?

My last load of UAE coal was 7% ash, and it is a red ash coal.. if you burn it hot enough, it will clinker. My AA makes clinkers with it all the time..
