Yep,saw it on noontime news---they're getting hammered---it's not lookin or feelin that great around here

We may have got about 2-3" here In SOUTH Western NY, the lake effect band was about 20-30 miles north of us, but we got the flooding, a lot of roads closed, it's a quite a mess. We are in good shape where we are....

Some places around Buffalo got 30-42" of snow!!! in 24-48 hour period, 2-3" an hour at times.....

WNY good luck friend. Keep that coal tended and burning. I am born/raised Niagara Falls NY. Recently moved to Northern VA with the occasional snow storm but not like Buffalo.

We just went to Buffalo on Sat. to shop around a bit. We went to Hamburg and East Aurora, and they may have had 8-10", but 10 miles father north would have had the 20-30"+ of snow....the roads were wet, but nothing slowed people down.

Thats the wonder of lake effect snow, you wonder where mother nature is gonna decide when & where to dump it. Got about 6 new inches here & it hasn`t slowed, this must be one of her favorite local spots. Still better than what they got up north near Buffalo.

I've got 5-6" on the hill here & she's still snowin & blowin--supposed to go on till 7 AM--we'll see what the morning brings---it's good, I got tired of looking at all the muck

I got at least 8 maybe closer to 10 now fred & I`m sending it all your way, enjoy my friend. Maybe you should get those barn chores & horses fed tonight for tomorrow, for tomorrow you may not be able to get there.
Just came back in, its closer to 10 than I thought I had to go out & do some sweeping, I`ll admit it I got one want to be a dog & one real dog & the little one got lost once it stepped off the porch & they got to have some place to go. Funny how I get all the crap jobs.

Glad to see some of it made it your way Fred, we got a little over a foot & they said 6 to 10 more during the day & 1 to 3 overnight. So far its a nice light snow, blows alot but won`t do much damage to trees & power lines.

They're saying 18"....My yardstick says 28"....Man,for the first one,are we ever gettin' it ! It aint stopped snowing for two days now. Lake Effect is surely something to behold. :stretcher:

Nice land there Fred -- looks absolutely beautiful. No neighbors visible is a good thing.

We had flurries for most of the afternoon today. I actually went for a motorcycle ride! :shock:

Had to make sure the new stem bearings & brakes in that Road Star were good to go. Went 7 miles round trip. Was about 27° . My knees were numb! Helmet instantly frosted up the minute I walked into the house! :lol:
