So far theres nothing but a few flurries here in N.W. Pa. but it could easily be worse a few miles away. Thats the beauty of lake effect, a few weeks ago I had about three inches when I left here, about five miles south there was nothing all the way to Pittsburgh.
But now, We have gotten about 3" of rain in the past day or so, NOW it's turned to SNOW, we have about 2-3" so far....everything is a mess.... :0 Should be a fun drive home!!
Precip is about done here, but we did get about 3.5 inches of rain, then turned to snow. Probably about an inch of wet snow, enough to make the grass all white. Roads were still warm enough to melt it off. Still have some flurries. Calling for more in the next few days.
Three to 4 inches of slop here, city streets not even plowed. Must be DPW was busy, oh I don't know, cutting grass or sleeping by the fire at the garage or something
Thank God no snow here yet here in MA. Wifey is still driving her summer car - I think this is the latest ever. We usually take it off the road around Turkey Day.
We got up to 56° today with 8 mph average wind speed and a 24mph gust. Over the last 3 hours we went from that high of 56° to the current temp of 40°. Got 1.31" of rain out of this one.
IN Buffalo (65 miles north of us) is getting Hammered last night and this morning, The Thruway is closed for a least 4 exits, a 11+ mile backup, TRAVEL BAN, etc....
