Well,it's the start of the season tomorrow. Good Luck to all of you Coalers going after one our fine herd. We can be proud of the quality Deer Herd that our State has! Be careful, check for the plug for the 3 shot maximum in your magazine, and please use all of the Animal that God put in the wild for us to utilize. Also be sure you're covered on the Blaze Orange clothing regs.

Not going to take off work. Lot's of block to be put in the wall, plus deer hunting does not pay the bills. Lots of people sitting on there butts not working, so us suckers need to work. If it's brown it's down!!! :rambo2: :rambo3:

PA. starts the rifle hunt monday too. I be out before the sun even thinks of comming out. Their is a big one my friend left run in archery on his land. He claimed it was not big enough, 15 feet from the tree stand and between 22"-24" spread. He says if it comes by tomorrow, he will take him, if I don't first. Probably will never see him again. GOOD LUCK TO ALL. :D

I know its needed to thin the population but I think they should at the very least have a appitude test for hunters, I already had two hunterspull into my drive & come up next to the house park on the grass then argue with me when I told them to leave. They both have Ohio licenses to boot & they tried to tell me they were in Ohio, granted the border is at the end of my yard but you don`t try & tell a property owner where his house is.

Have'nt hunted deer since 1998 when the game warden pissed me off. I was in basement plumbing a new furnace when he knocked on the door accusing me of hunting on the property behind me. Argued it was'nt me, but he said it was. Ended up showing him my orange vest and deer tag to get him off my back. Finally he gave up, turn around and ask my what type of dog I had sitting there watching him. Being a game warden you would think he would know what a redtick coon hound looked like ;) When he lefted, he walked right across my property w/ the dog escorting him. Decided then they would not get another dollar out of my for deer.

Thats odd, your season starts when ours in Ky is ending. We opened Nov13 and ended on the 29th. Got the largest doe I have ever killed this year, 165lbs!

Now its time to sit by the fire.

That's a monster doe!! That would be a healthy buck up around here.

MA shotgun season opened Monday too. Didn't get my license in time - turns out you need to go to school for that too! Gotta love MA ... Might as well just get one for VT & NH.

I read it the paper where they are going to fine a Pa. hunter for hunting in a section of wooded medium along route 80 near Rockton, Pa. He couldn`t see anything wrong with it.

My brother just got one yesterday. Decent by MA standards ... the rest of the country would probably call it little. But you gotta take what you can get! 8-)

Score one for dad & one for my bro. Damn state and it's stupid laws -- I probably could've had one too ...

Both deer were loaded with fat, bloated ticks from head to toe.

Our season here ends this Sunday. Every deer our group has taken has been absolutely loaded with fat also. Seem to be more ticks than usual here also. Just be sure you check yourself for the ticks to be on the safe side. My sis in law actually found a tick partly embedded last year. Went right to the Doc & had it removed. I think he gave her a scrip as a precaution.

I got a friend that got I believe it was Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever from a tick, darn near killed him. They are nothing to mess with.
