Cord Length?

Hi Neil/Paul... I have the Coal-Trol installed and running my Alaska like a champ!!! Great product...

My question is- I will be purchasing a second Coal-Trol for my second stove, Harman Mag Stoker and I'm interested in having the power cord shortened down to around 8"-10" overall... I know I could simply cut the end off and replace etc...... But, thats not what I want, I would like a custom shortened cord with a factory plug on it to compliment my setup... This something you are willing to do??? I fully expect an additional charge for the labor...

I see yours had the cord built in,I have the other type that has a plug in cord.

Here is a shorty one that I believe has the same type connections needed for the larger Coaltrol

Correct, It has the hardwired pass-through cord... I would shorten the cord myself but don't want to open the case without permission, warranty issues etc... If they are willing I'll purchase another one with the short cord and put it on the Alaska, take the long cord and use it on the Mag Stoker...

Probably sounds stupid, but I like things to be a certain way and that cord is drivin' me nuts!!!!

Huh... interesting request. Neil can best answer this, I'll give him a heads up to read the thread and comment. I don't think we'd have a problem doing this for you, however it may affect UL rating on the cord (and thus the whole product). That would be the only reason we wouldn't do it.

And may I say that is quite possibly the coolest looking, cleanest install I've ever seen.

It that your coal bin to the right in the first picture?

LOL!!! Thanks for the compliment Paul, yes, that is the coal bin to the right... It will hold 4 ton and is built like a brick @#%*&%@#*....

We can do this. Call to place this rather unusual request, for a rather unusual installation. Neat work. Would you pan around and post a picture or two of the operating room theatre that I'm sure is just slightly out of the frame?
