Morning Tim, Yeah, it's comforting in more than one way to have this coal heat keeping the house warm and toasty. Right now I'm setting here at the desk with the boiler room door open behind me and the radiant heat off the Trident is keeping the office at about 75* while keeping the upper floors a nice steady 70*. We have a heat wave here compared to your temps., it's about 21* outside.

Merry Christmas to all.

It is about 11 here at my house. The official temp is 16 but it is impossible to get a reliable reading from an official source here since the temperatures vary greatly from mountain to valley.
I had company over to decorate the Christmas Tree today and so I had a fire in the Stanley Argand upstairs and the Glenwood down here. Right now the Stanley is down to a dull, red glow and will be out soon.
The Glenwood was tended to around 10 PM. There are still long blue flames over the fire and the upstairs bed rooms are warm enough to make me sweat under just a sheet. I have the Glenwood running at around 425. It will stay glued to that Temp. until I tend to it again this afternoon.

15* here. Living room is 65.5, bedroom is 59*, kitchen/dining room is 53.4*, son's room is 60*, 2nd floor loft in my son's room is 67*, temp above the stove at the ceiling is 80*. Stove is idling at 600* and having trouble it seems.

Will be getting a new DS Machine shortly (yes, I've made a decision). :D

Looks like MA missed the cold front so far.

24.4° here, 70° where I'm typing & 66° in the rest of the house .... except the 2nd floor which is sealed off. It's 52° up there ... and it's 85° at the bottom of the cellar stairs next to the stove. Stove side is about 500° average ( bottom side is 470° .. middle is 540° ... top 490°). My usual 2.5 turns out on the intake. Been going since 20:00.

This morning it was 14* at my place. Kaa-2 purring away. 26 x 65 foot house is exactly 73* from one end, to the other. The three thermostats (one for each zone)are set at 73*. I couldn't be happier with it's performance. I tend it once every 24 hours.

Low was 6' here this AM. Thermostat set @ 68' nights and 70' days. Any more of a spread wouldn't really be cost effective. I think it would burn much more coal trying to bring it up to 70' if I were to set it at say 65' or so at night.
