coal quality

this is my second year burning coal. last year bought 3 ton antracite from boslers here in ohio. It was glossy and burned with a blue flame. This year the coal was dull and the flame is yellow and seems to fracture alot when hot could you guy's tell me the difference in the two. thank's ( I have learned a great deal from all on this forum)

Bosler usually stocked 2 kinds of nut, glossy clean coal was sherman, forget the name of the other but was very dull and dirty, loved how the sherman burned. The other was supposed to burn hotter and longer but i personaly didnt like it as much. If you call before you go he will let you know what kinds he has.
