If modified, is the device still certified from a homeowner's insurance perspective?

Unfortunately if it found to be modified it will void the UL If it is found out ,insurance would most likely give you a hard time .

Just a thought.

If a replacement motor can not be found with the same bolt pattern one might consider using an adapter plate. Also if going with an over-sized fan if connected to a variable speed switch one could slow the motor back down to it's original stock cfm setting.

Wish everyone would stop slamming each other! I didnt start this thread to start a war, I wouldn't buy anything but a leisure line, am very pleased with it! But I am the type to try and get as much performance out of something as possible.
So let's end this thread and the bashing.

I guess I don't get it. Maybe its good that way.

unfortunately the outside world (re: lawyers in this case) affects all of us and I am sad for that . Stove manufacturers are bound by demonstrating uniformity and a type certificated product. Anything out that realm pretty much can't be discussed in public forum forum. If ya call the guy up, that may be another thing..... :punk:  :dancing:

Respectively offered,

Ugly
