New Bike--Valk & Motorcycle Tour/Trip thru NE

Hey Gang--

I inherit a new bike. Not the way I wanted to acquire it but I am unable to stop the forces of nature. But it is a real beauty and somewhat rare.

2003 Honda Valkeryie This is a stripped down Gold Wing with lots of chrome. 6 cylinder flat/horz engine.

I am planning a motorcycle tour trip as soon as this rain lets up. I have the bike packed. Plans are to camp and cookout as much as possible. I'm heading to the Catskills in NY, Southern VT, Northern VT, NH ( mt. Wash. ), Coast of ME, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

I 'll be driving my Suzuki V-Strom DL1000. Great bike for adventure touring.

Hi Gang--

I just returned from a 14 day motorcycle tour. I visited the Catskill region of NY, lower and central VT, Mount Wash in NH, Saint John in New Brunswick, half of Nova Scotia including the beautiful and scenic Cabot Trail in Cape Breton National Park, and I toured the island of New Foundland for 4 days. I rode a total of 4,360 miles. That's nearly 7,000 kilometers!

I can post a few images if there is a way to increase the allowed size of each image. That's if anyone is interested. My images are roughly 175kb's each.

Now, back to my real world!

Welcome back ya lucky duck! Post a couple pics and then edit the post every week or so (swap them out with new ones), by the time we get to the winter months there will be some nice scenery to look at to remind us of the summer!

How did the bike perform? I'm sure after riding the kawi you were in sheer luxury. Drop me a line when you want to take a run up this way, still plenty of nice riding days left.

Matt--

I have 3 bikes.

My main rider is a Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom. This is what I used to take to Canada. The KLR i use for short trips and work when I had a job.
The new Honda Valk will sit until next spring. I did drive it a few days here and there but no where far.

I have a lot of misc house work to catch up on. And one or two job interviews. So, I am not sure we can get out this week or next. But I should be good by 3rd week in sept.

But the Suzuki performed really well. this model is a great all around bike. Fast, corners well & is a good long distance rider especially with my Corbin seat.
