Some people need trucks. Whether you know it or not, you need a truck. Trucks are the life blood our society. Everything you can touch had a truck involved at some point in it's life.

I suppose we could do like China and have the government limit the number of children we have but as it stands, I have a devil of a time fitting 5 people into a Prius so I'm going to have to stick with the mini van.

Jeff, a buddy of mine that owned a trucking company always said, "If you got it, a truck brought it".

You can check updated gas prices in your area at http://www.gasbuddy.com

Oh my gosh - you must be on your second or third glass of "the kool aid." What are you thinking? Telling someone they should have a smaller car or have to sell their SUV because of the high cost of gas is a liberal talking point. In fact, Obama said as much last week at a townhall in PA. Neither you nor Obama have any idea what needs that individual has which directed his decision to buy that SUV or any other car. Let me say this clearly, it's none of your business. I'll tell you what - I don't want to hear another complaint about the cost of heating oil or electricity for your house. If the 4.50 a gallon of heating oil is too much or the electric bill to high for you to afford to comfortably heat your home, then obviously your house is too big and you should sell it. No, not the same thing - why not, you made your decision to buy that house in part based on what the cost to heat it was and I would guess you got the most square footage you thought you could afford at the time. It's exactly the same thing, people buy the size and style car that will fit their personal needs and desires along with the cost to operate at the time of the purchase. In case you forgot, this is still America, at least for a little while longer and we can buy what we want and if someone changes the rules on us after the fact, we can bitch about it.

Instead of drinking the liberal's kool aid and spouting the Liberal talking points, how about looking at what is causing the cost of our energy bills to "necessarily skyrocket." It's easy to find the source of the problem - he is living at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, DC.

The big oil Co.s of the world have to get the price of oil up to cover their investments while the U.S. tax payer is still footing the bill to protect them. http://www.time.com/time/world/article/ ... 87,00.html

move your comment to the political thread, this has nothing to do with politics, but thats all you like to talk about.
I hope oil goes to $300/ barrel, so the dollar collapses and we can go back to real money - gold and silver.

It has everything to do with politics. I'm sorry you are unwilling to recognize that.

This is a political thread. See the Board Index label above. How you can think that the raising gas prices are not politically driven is beyond me. Obama and his Energy Secretary has said as much. They are going to cause our "energy cost to necessarily skyrocket." It's all politics and the politics of the current administration are going to destroy this country as will your $300 barrels a gallon oil. I'm sorry if you don't want to talk about it. Don't read this post and definitely don't respond. It's your choice. And by the way if you go back to the first posting, you will find an edit note:

regenerative braking to help recharge the batteries will also extend range, and lower cost. But, the government does not want efficient, clean transportation. They like the xtra dollars in tax revenue brought in by the wasting of energy, at everyone elses expense. politicians are bought and paid for by the big industries.

I didn't know that the government designed automobiles. I thought that consumer demand and affordability had something to do with it.

Bush looked more like a monkey, and his pic. did not need any retouching. he also acted like one when he was in charge of destroying the greatest nation on earth.

why is it that all of you "Liberal Hating" and Imean HATING, coal burners fail to realize that it is conservative Republican politicians, that you so dutifully support, that are laughing all the way to the bank. with the backing of big business keeping them rich, and you having drive less, find other ways to heat your home, and spend more. I am neither D or R, but I can see what is happening. The posts that always blame everything on Obama and liberals, grow a brain, get out of your own coal dust fog, if in fact you posters are even coal burning enthusiasts. i believe a few radical head cases are pushing their agenda, like on fox non news. since when did this site become a rant and rave for radical political NUTS? keep it on subject, this is becoming a very boring, stupid site anymore. get your facts straight haters,

I may be new here, but I can use my brain, and common sense. I see many, very strong, and disrespectful posts, in this forum. why don't you ask them to leave? or is it only" non conservative" thinking that you oppose?
