$5 gas by 2012 ?

Glad to see PA is waking up. This damn state insists on diluting every single gas station in the state with ethanol. As I've mention in many prior posts, ethanol content is closer to 20% here than 10%. They can post whatever they want on the pump -- what they actually put in you'll never know ... and the sheep of MA will never question it ... because it "saves" their precious environment.

What else can you expect from one of the most corrupt states in the union?

Oil closed today at $77.95 a barrel. Gas around here is still $3.75  The last time a barrel of oil was that price, gas was $2.50 :? :wtf:

NG will take over eventually, but they have to play their "game" first and all the "players" are not yet in position. Many inner city public transportation is already NG, and many more will follow in the next few years. I'm waiting for an NG automobile, all that is required is a diesel engine to burn NG.

I seriously doubt that the infrastructure to support that will be in place within two years, much less the capacity to produce around 72,000 NG powered trucks in that time frame.
From the other side do you think that the consumer is ready to replace 40% of their fleet in the next 1-2 yrs?

You may be right about the trucks but which country are you talking about? It seems that so far most of the NG being produced by the Frackers in Pa. is being exported.

where do you get 72000 class 8 refuse trucks from? the total market in north america is less then 8000 currently. MACK has 68% of that market. The city of NEW YORK will be 60% NG in 2013 in terms of their fleet of class 8 refuse trucks. And if the auto companies were smart, they would have an NG pickup truck ready to go as well.

Seems to me ethanol got promoted by whatever congressmen cater to the midwest. Turning food into fuel is a bad idea IMO. I heard about some small alt fuel companies that got turned down for loans. Because they didn't have bribe money to get the fed funds? One was a biofuel place.
Ethanol sucks, it rotted out the rubber fuel lines in my truck once, and now I see some of the replacements have hardened.

One good thing about NJ- Saw gas at $3.29 today at one of the hadji owned discount places on RT 22. Local place in town, the most expensive around, $3.59.

I bet donald Trump could do something about OPEC. This freakin country going crazy like this it sucks.

Obama said he doesn't give a rat's ass about Solyndra fail! Unbelievable.

CNG is nice, but I don't see the savings when the Btu content is less?

If you have to burn 10 times more CNG than gasoline, does it really make sense?

I think there are better ways out there if the government would get out of the way.

I think it is only about a third less BTU. Plus it is produced in this country.

Quite a few of those NG powered trash trucks already rolling the streets of MA. Drivers hate them! Get a load on 'em, and it's 10 mph up hills ... provided you make it long enough without breaking down to actually GET a load on it ....

They've got their work cut out for them. The current diesel fleet is so choked up with failure-prone emission crap they spend more time in the shop than out making money. Welcome to ONA (Obama's New America).

not sure what trucks run in your area, but a MACK LE that runs on NG has as much Horsepower as one that runs on diesel.
