Happy New Year! Trusting that everyone partied hard & had a world record sleep as I did....coffee isn't late! Happy New Year!

For the first time in 10 years Marty & I were not here at midnight Jan 31st. Nursing home mode being a thing of the past we are free to go....so we did! 5 or 6 years ago someone throw a ball off the top of a building in downtown Bangor & now it's a tradition. They close the streets downtown & several thousand attended last night. At midnight they tossed a 3 foot round, light covered balloon/ball down into the crowd. It bounces off the heads and hands of whoever it reaches for a full minute, then gets pulled back up by it's extension cord! LOL High tech fun. I wonder if it's 120V or 12V? We'll find out if it ever short circuits!

I hope you all have a fine, productive year & that good health follows your family. Happy New Year!

I'm glad you & Marty got to enjoy the evening--I actually stayed up till midnight myself for the first time in many yrs--damn, it's still dark out then  --Best New Years wishes to all

Morning, and Happy New Year!
I was wondering where Freddy's coffee was this morning, on a morning when most of us need coffee
Better late than never. :D
We got to bed around 3:00am, but got up at our normal time cuz the sun is SOOOOO bright this morning. I think we will see temps in the high 40s today.
Time to get under my wife's car and change tranny fluid.

We stayed home last night. it is tradition in the Philippines to be in your home at 12:00 so we didn't go out. Ok all you hungover coal people, I will be the

designatedhand fired stoker. Just so in cast you over slept. I will stoke your stoves for you so you don't have your fires go out!! I am holding down the fort

everyone, so go ahead and sleep in.

We stayed home last night as well. Tonight is our celebration. Party is at my sisters house and she and her husband both had to work last night. They recorded the ball drop and it will be a reenactment of sorts tonight. Got my bottle of Southern Comfort ready, although I couldn't wait and had a few shots last night.

Back to work Monday after 3 weeks off due to inventory, holiday, and shutdown for the last week. Almost kind of glad to get back to work, not that I don't have things to do at home but I am getting a bit bored. Also ringing in the new year with a new employer, Thomas & Betts, the company I worked for, sold our plant to Belden Cable. I think this is a good thing. We make cable connectors for catv and communication cables and our business was not in line with T&B which deals more in electrical distribution. Belden is a cable manufacturer and the connector business is a better fit. We shall see.

Hope everyone has a great year.

Good afternoon. No hangover for me, two bottles of Premium and split a bottle of wine with the wife last night, I guess I’m getting old because getting drunk has lost its appeal. We went out to eat last evening, I had a way too big New York strip and the wife had a lobster tail, (that’s lobsta for you Freddy) I am still feeling bloated this afternoon. This evening we are invited to supper at a friends so I made a Red Velvet Cake to take along and a high fat/high cholesterol version of tapioca pudding. Any dieting resolutions are put on hold ‘till Monday. The rule is all New Years Resolutions start on the first Monday of the new year and most expire on the first Tuesday.

Happy New Year everyone, make it a good one.

Hangover?? Nope not here either, I flew last night, arrived JFK at 0100, I think we were over Norfolk Va when it was 'New Year'..

I got to my Crashpad and went to sleep..

I understand that all the snow has melted in Michigan, just a few melting piles and former drifts..

I fly another flight to the Carribean tomorrow, then home for a few days..

I noted the date when I filled in the aircraft log book: 1-1-11

Take care all..

Greg...if it took you eleven minutes to find a pen & get the paper ready, you filled out the log book at 01:11, 1-1-11! That could confuse any computer!

What a beautiful day. We went to a friends house & celebrated.....as invited "we will eat till we are full, laugh till we use up all the toilet paper, and generally drive my dog crazy." Yup, it worked out about like that. Good friends, good food & one wacky dog. I hope you all had a good day too!

My cure for a hangover is something I learned years & years ago, and it works as well as anything. The last thing you do before you go to bed is pour yourself a tall glass of water whatever temperature you like. Then drink as much as you comfortably can. Ohhhh, what a difference it makes the next day.

Happy New Year!
